Office manual FIOD visit

Tax consultancy firms or accountancy firms can also be confronted with a visit by the FIOD. It is extremely useful if they know how to handle an unexpected FIOD visit. In this context a handy office manual should be available in which the method is outlined; who is contacted, who does and who does not talk to the FIOD. If a visit is announced or if it is possible to create time before the FIOD officials are contacted it is recommended to (whether or not together with a lawyer) go through the manual in order to brush up the (basic) knowledge about the rights and obligations. In this phase the lawyers of our firm can already be contacted. If so desired our firm can, of course, also assist when preparing / updating this kind of manual. We also have an HTML file available with which an office / company can be rendered ‘FIOD-proof’. This file can be placed on the desktop of the computers (in order that it does not end up at the bottom of a drawer) and contains a manual for the receptionist, the office manager, and the person in whom the FIOD is interested.
